Game not launching Critical error report

Recommended Posts

Crusher64

So I recently installed Turfbatles on my laptop so I could play whilst away on work. But every time I attempt to run the Clauncher and launch the game I get the same error report saying "Ran out of virtual memory"

So firstly I tried changing the value of virtual memory and gave it 4gb, yet that didn't work....  Still the same error.

Then noticed on the error report the hardware specs have come up incorrect, but under system information they're right.

Attempted to run with Windows XP via Virtualbox and still had the same issue.

Please help me this is frustrating haha.

Ill copy these parts of the error report below.

Ran out of virtual memory. To prevent this condition, you must free up more space on your primary hard disk.

You're trying to play the game on a Virtual Machine? If so that's the problem.

Windows 10 is the main installation on my PC. It didn't work at first on windows 10 so I tried to launch with windows XP via virtual box as a second option, yet still got the exact same error.

Sorry I wasn't 100% clear on that.

No worries, okay first few comments/questions...

  • Windows Defender Disabled or Exception added for game folder?
  • Anti Virus Disabled or Exceptions added for game folder?
  • Both Windows Defender & Anti-Virus blocks/quarantines removed (disabling doesn't remove them sometimes).
  • Do you have the required C++ redistributable installed? (If not download from the turfbattles.ca downloads page)
  • Have you tried moving your game folder to your desktop? (The entire Eonic Games folder, and launching with Clauncher.exe in bin)

If you have Teamviewer (I think you do as I vaguely remember helping you out before) I can help you. Just open a Support Ticket (Support page) and send us your Teamviewer information.

Cheers

Ok, so I have tried all the things above as suggested.

Added exception to windows defender, also tried with it disabled

Added exception to windows firewall, also tried with it disabled

Copied folder onto desktop ran Clauncher and sep.exe as administrator but no compatibility changes.

C++ was already up to date but did a repair just in case.

Also net frame work is also up to date.

Error report still coming up with no changes.

Currently away on work no good wifi here so wont be able to go through team viewer till I'd say Sunday or Monday.

Ok let me know when you're back. Out of curiosity, is your CPU or Memory usage already almost at 100% or beyond in task manager?

Had a look with taskmanager whilst game was trying to launch.

Highest it went to was only about 32 percent.

On idle there was no spikes or anything.

Have 8gb of RAM see no usage changes even when trying to launch.

Interesting thing too in the error report at the top states I only have 2047MB RAM, yet scrolling down to system information it comes up correctly.

Memory: 8192MB RAM
      Available OS Memory: 7644MB RAM
Page File: 2789MB used, 8854MB available

Just curios if that would have something to do with the issue I'm having.

Possible, ran of virtual memory happens when A) the server sends bad data to you (not happening), B) your computer is partially blocking the games networking components.

Have you tried re-installing? Disabling firewall/router firewall? Disabling Windows Defender?

Skip the exceptions for now until you find the problem, then build a better solution after the problem is identified... (Exceptions)

Does your game launch into login screen and you crash on login? or does it just crash as soon as you try to open it?

Disabled firewall and windows defender, no antivirus installed.

Reinstalled using administrator privileges

Launched the Clauncher using administrator

Currently in progress of downloading updates. So was just curios if anyone has ran into the issue of the downloader just sitting at 100%, or is the universe trying to tell me I'm not allowed to play lol. Thought this might be contributing to the issue of game not launching...

Game was crashing once I pressed start after choosing a server.

So strange, when you can send me Teamviewer info.

Tried to reinstall with defender and firewall disabled. They're still currently disabled and have opened a support ticket and provided teamviewer information.

Currently don't have the best internet at the moment and because I live in Australia will most likely be asleep at the time you get around to it.

Thanks for all your help Shock :)

Seems your Teamviewer info was invalid (or it wasn't online). Ill try again in the morning.

Sorry buddy I didn't have wifi whilst away. At home now atm, created a new ticket with TV info using my home PC because it's not working on it either. I have a feeling it's the same issue. Because I'm getting the same problems.

Ok, so reinstalling ran updater as admin and seems to not be freezing during update like before. Fingers crossed.
