shockdot Report post Posted March 24, 2021 We've been trying to gage player feedback on the recent Archer Change that was added to the test server. At first the majority of feedback was very positive, but over the last few days there has been a growing amount of counter feedback on the subject. We're finding it difficult to adequately gage whether most players want this change or most player do not want this change, some players even mentioned alternative forms for the change (which we think is fair). If you want to know about the change, you can read about it in the following news article https://www.eonicgames.com/news/view/119, in the "Test Server" section. The main problem is that a few people are reporting that several people (mostly within their own tribes) either agree or disagree with the change... Which we are unable to verify without those people writing their own feedback in some way. For this reason, we are making this poll for players to vote on the topic. The topic will be open for 7 days and will close on March 31. Poll Options Explained Yes, add it how it is on the test server. The change will be added exactly how it is now on the test server (explained in news article). This option count will be combined with option 2 ("Yes, with reduced damage if you are far"), but the highest of the two will be what is implemented. Yes, with reduced damage if you are far. The change will be added how it is now on the test server (explained in news article), but if you are too far away you will lose up to a maximum of 3% damage. In simple terms... If you are far, you lose 3% damage with basic attacks and DC. If you are close, you gain 5% damage with basic attacks and DC. If you are in the middle, your damage is normal with basic attacks and DC. This option count will be combined with option 1 ("Yes, add it how it is on the test server"), but the highest of the two will be what is implemented. No, do not add the change at all. The change will be removed and archer will remain the way they are until we find another way to increase their desirability. As with ANY poll, users are only allowed to vote ONCE (no matter how many accounts you have). When the poll is closed, we will tally up the votes. Anyone who votes more than once will have ALL of their votes disregarded (they will not count).
shockdot Report post Posted April 4, 2021 The "Yes" option wins it. We'll be updating the servers later this week with this change and some other things.
