July 21 Patch Notes

General Changes

  • Fixed a bug that caused SOME old items (prior to the new client update) to not be mailed after using a class change token.
  • We've given monsters the ability to have different defenses based on the class of the player attacking them.
  • We've made a change that fixes a crash that occurred on Channel 3 earlier this week.

 

Island System Poll

We often receive feedback from players stating that the damage from island monsters is too high. We have been slowly adjusting the monsters damage, but we are getting to a point where we can't reduce it anymore while maintaining the current drop rates of monsters. The monsters were designed to have these high drop rates, because they are difficult to kill. This leaves us with really only two options moving forward, please vote on which you would like to see happen by using official-polls channel on our Discord server (https://discord.gg/yA53F4Sg).

 

Bracket Island Changes

  • The defense and magic defense of ALL monsters on every Bracket Island has been adjusted for each class.
    • Depending on your equipment/level you should now take anywhere from 15-25 seconds to kill an entire group of monsters by using ONLY AOEs (Bracket 1 takes 25-35 seconds, only mages use AOE's in that bracket).
    • We tested this with fairly average gear and players should typically expect to kill monster groups anywhere in the 17-19 second range (25-30 for Bracket 1).
    • "Average gear" would be +8 level 11 weapons or +15/+14 level 12 weapons, 5/5 jewels, 100 pet, and the use of any buffs or debuffs that become available through your skill trees.

 

Tornado & Ghost Castle Changes

  • The defense and magic defense of ALL monsters has been adjusted for each class similar to the Bracket Islands (average gear kills monsters in 17-19 seconds).
    • "Average gear" would be +8 level 11 weapons or +15/+14 level 12/13 weapons, 5/5 jewels, 100 pet, and the use of any buffs or debuffs that become available through your skill trees.
  • The health of Ghost Castle monsters has been reduced to 100K, this was due to the changes in monster defenses (previously 150K).
  • The health of the Ghost Castle guardian has been reduced to 1.2M, this was due to the changes in monster defenses (previously 1.8M).

 

Pet Island Changes

  • The defense and magic defense of ALL monsters has been adjusted for each class similar to the Bracket Islands (average gear kills monsters in 17-19 seconds).
    • "Average gear" would be +15/+14 level 13 weapons, 5/5 jewels, 100 pet, and the use of any buffs or debuffs that become available through your skill trees.
  • The health of monsters has been reduced to 100K, this was due to the changes in monster defenses (previously 220K).
  • The health of the guardian has been reduced to 1.2M, this was due to the changes in monster defenses (previously 3.3M).

 

Catastropha Island Changes

  • The defense and magic defense of ALL monsters has been adjusted for each class similar to the Bracket Islands (average gear kills monsters in 17-19 seconds).
    • "Average gear" would be +15/+15 level 13 weapons, 6/6 jewels, 100 pet, and the use of any buffs or debuffs that become available through your skill trees.
  • The health of monsters has been reduced to 125K, this was due to the changes in monster defenses (previously 250K).
  • The health of the eggs have been reduced to 3.5M, this was due to the changes in monster defenses (previously 7M).
  • The health of the guardian has been reduced to 6M, this was due to the changes in monster defenses (previously 12M).
