Test Server Balance Patch 1

Today we are launching the first balance patch for G13 equipment. We placed a strong emphasis on simplifying the set base stats as well as the stat bonuses from the set items. In addition, this patch primarily targets balancing around Physical classes (although mages did receive some changes too).

  •  Crafting
    • Fixed bug that prevented proper item selection when using non-English languages.
    • Reduced cost of crafting Clonium Essence from 10 to 5.
    • Reduced cost of crafting Clonium equipment by 50% on all equipment types.
  • Balance Changes
    • General 
      • G13 Flat Defense has been reduced by 30 on all G13 non weapons/shields.
      • G13 Base (with no stats) Percent Defense has been reduced.
      • G13 Percent Defense & Percent All Resist Bonuses from stats have been reduced.
      • All G13 weapons have had their stat bonuses adjusted so that it increases without fluctuating.
      • All G13 weapons have generally received an AP boost throughout all levels (but mostly throughout levels 10-20).
      • G13 non-weapons now gives the following boosts per DEF/MDEF upgrade range:
        • Level 1-14: +3
        • Level 15-17: +4
        • Level 18-19: + 5
        • Level 20: +6
    • Blade Specific Changes
      • Base Percent Defense on blades has been reduced by 3 on each G13 item.
      • Base Percent Magic Defense on blades has been reduced by 8 on each G13 item.
      • Kronos Defensive Set Effect bonus has been reduced from 2% to 1%.
    • Fist Specific Changes
      • Base Percent Defense has been reduced by 5 on each G13 item.
      • Base Percent Magic Defense has been reduced by 5 on each G13 item.
    • Red Mage Specific Changes
      • Base Percent Defense has been reduced by 5 on each G13 item.
    • Archer Specific Changes
      • Base Percent Defense has been reduced by 6 on each G13 item.
    • Blue Mage Specific Changes
      • Base Percent Defense has been reduced by 5 on each G13 item.
      • Fixed a bug where BM's received 2 Magic AP less than RM's for each Min/Max Damage Stat Point.
  • Others
    • Disabled Catastropha Cavern Event on Mystic Server.
    • Fixed a bug that prevented reforging items on the test server.

 

As always, we welcome everyone's feedback after they test the new content. We have some concerns with the current physical setup, but we figured we would let players play around with the changes before we over tune a class. Our current concerns with this patch are:

  • Blades - They can tank, as a blade should... but they don't do much damage even with full Strength...
  • Archer - We are under the impression that their defense should receive a slight increase.
  • Mages - We need to take a look at the White/Yellow buffs as they might pose a serious balance issue atm.
