July 12 Patch Notes

General Changes

  • The cooldown of Cold Mist is now reduced by 5 seconds for each target it hits (up to a maximum of 25 seconds of reduction).
    • This required some unexpected changes to how Advanced Skills were coded. If you notice any issues, please let us know.
  • Minor localization changes.
  • G2 Turf Tokens can now be purchased using G3 Turf Tokens at the Turf Exchange NPCs.
  • Red Honors & Blue Tears can now be purchased for G2 Turf Tokens (3 Tokens per Gem) at the Turf Exchange NPCs.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the "Teleport to Random Location" option to appear during an island cooldown.

Pet Island Changes

  • Pet Island Monsters have had their attack power reduced by 10%.
  • Pet Island Monsters have had their absolute damage reduced by 25%.
  • Pet Island Monsters now have a 40% chance to drop 2-3 G3 Turf Tokens (previously 70%).
  • The idea behind these changes is so that players who can't adequately farm on Catastropha Island, due to the difficulty, can stay back in the previous bracket. This way they can survive the island, and gear up until they are strong enough for Catastropha Island (but also obviously having a reduced drop rate).

Tornado Turf Changes

  • The Tornado Turf now uses the monster scaling system that the other islands use, but they are scaled to be weaker than the Bracket 3 Island (20% less AP and absolute damage for normal monsters and 10% for the guardian).
  • The Megalopas now have a 40% chance to drop 1 G2 Turf Token (instead of RH/BT).
  • Each side of the halls on the Tornado Turf contain 8 groups of 5 Megalopa's, but due to their limited space the monsters had to be made into range-based monsters.
  • The Megalopas continue to have a respawn time of 20 seconds, this is to make up for their drop rate and attack style.
  • Similar to Pet Island, the Tornado Turf has been designed to be a weaker/slower alternative to farm RH/BT in comparison to GC.
  • With all the changes to date (both to the Island System and to other game mechanics), it's becoming less and less logical to have the Tornado Turf be for levels 121-160. Alternatively, it should be adjusted to be for levels 161-200 (or maybe even 160-200). We have not made this change yet, because we want to hear what players think. Changing the scaling of the monsters on the Tornado Turf to match that level bracket would be an easy/simple change now.

Ghost Castle Changes

  • The Ghost Castle Turf now uses the monster scaling system that the other islands use.
    • Monsters are scaled at the same difficulty as the Bracket 5 Island (Level 201-275) and Pet Island starting at level 276.
  • The Ghost May & Ghost Yuba monsters now have a 70% chance to drop 1-3 G2 Turf Tokens (instead of RH/BT), starting at level 276 they have a 70% chance to drop 2-3 G2 Turf Tokens.
  • The Ghost May & Ghost Yuba monsters now have a 15% chance to drop 1-5 Dilithium Ore, starting at level 276 they instead have a 10% chance to drop 1-3 Clonium Liquid.
  • The respawn times have been left the same (70 seconds for normal monsters and 8 minutes for Castle Walls).
  • There are now 30 groups of 5 monsters in Ghost Castle (3 Ghost Yuba's and 2 Ghost Mays per group).
