Christmas Event & Season Channels

General Changes

  • The Civil War Registrar can now be used on all channels.
  • We fixed an issue that caused Channel 1 on the Triumphus Server to lock up a few days ago.

Event System Changes

We've made a large number of changes to the event system that controls events across multiple channels. This was done in preparation for the Season Channels release. Users should not notice any changes or differences until the season channels are released. However, if you notice or experience any issues, you can report them, and we will look into it.

  • The events that might be affected include: Civil War Event, Pet Boss Event, Reaper Event, and the Turf Stop Event.
  • The Nation War was not included in this update (it's a more complicated event that will require additional changes), but it will be changed before seasons are released.

Christmas Event

Winter has come to Ladianes, and with that, our good ol' friend Santa has returned! From now until January 5th, players will be able to participate in various Christmas events.

  • Buff Event: Fubb is feeling extra generous this holiday season. He is hosting an EXP event (for both you and your pet) from now until the end of the Christmas event.
  • Daily Quest: Help Santa take back his bag of gifts from the Evil Snowmen outside of Ladianes. Completing this quest will earn you a gift box that will reward you with either Santa Transformation Scrolls, a Santa Hat, or Christmas Stockings! This quest can be completed once every 24 hours.
  • Daily Gift: Once every 24 hours, you can visit the Christmas Gift Box on Channel 1 and receive one of the following items:
    • Green Christmas Essence: Upon using this item, your character will earn 2.5% EXP at whatever level you are currently at.
    • Red Christmas Essence: Upon using this item, your character will earn 5% EXP at whatever level you are currently at.
    • Christmas Stockings: Upon using this item, your character will unlock the Santa Doll Cosmetic Loadout. These will be automatically removed from characters when the event ends.
    • Event Chocolate: Upon using this item, your character will gain a 30-minute 10% drop rate buff. These will be automatically removed from characters when the event ends.
  • Santa Doll Cosmetic Loadout: Once a player has obtained 50 Christmas Stockings, they can double-click their stockings to unlock the Santa Doll loadout for their character. Alternatively, if you aren't able to collect all 50 Christmas Stockings before the event ends, the Santa Doll loadout can be purchased for 300 TC in the Cosmetic Loadouts interface.
  • Snowman Pet: During the Christmas event, players can purchase the Snowman pet for 350 TC in the Pet Collection interface.

Season Channels

We're happy to announce that we will be officially releasing the Season Channel system (and starting Season 1) on January 19th, 2024. This will give us roughly one month to finish making the necessary changes to the Nation War event (and fix any reported issues with the other events), as well as spend some much-needed time on additional changes based on player feedback (such as updating the Delphiroth floors). These additional changes may appear on the live server prior to the season channels release, but that is not guaranteed.

When we are closer to the Season 1 release date, we will publish another news article with additional information. However, for the time being, we hope these FAQs help address most players' questions

  • What are season channels?
    • Season channels are similar to season servers (something that we previously hosted). The key difference here is that they are not a separate server, but instead, they are separate channels on the existing Mystic & Triumphus servers that can ONLY be accessed by season characters. This allows players to start new characters and progress without being obligated to compete with already fully geared players/tribes right away, while at the same time not splitting each server in to a new server.
  • What are season characters?
    • Season characters are characters that are created during a season. Season characters can log in to both non-season channels and season channels (but non-season characters cannot enter season channels). Players can choose to create a season character or non-season character during the character creation process.
  • Can season characters party/trade non-season characters?
    • No, no matter what channel you are on, you will not be able to party, trade, or use booths for characters that are of different types. This means that season characters cannot party, trade, or use booths with non-season characters, and non-season characters cannot party, trade, or use booths with season characters.
  • What happens to our season characters and items when a season ends?
    • Season characters (and all the items on them) are automatically converted into non-season characters/items when a season ends. They will no longer be able to enter season channels, but you will still be able to use them on non-season channels. They will essentially become, non-season characters.
  • Why are season characters allowed to go on non-season channels?
    • We are allowing season characters to enter non-season channels so that they can still PvP and interact with non-season characters in a competitive and social way. However, they will not be able to earn any real benefit from each other (they CANNOT obtain each other's items and CANNOT give each other experience).
  • How many season channels were there be per server?
    • Each server will have 2 season channels, for a total of 5 channels per server (3 non-season channels, and 2 season channels)
  • Will Seasons have any additional incentives to play on them?
    • Seasons inherently provide players with various incentives, such as:
      • A more equal playing field between new and old players.
      • Access to additional channels, and thus resources/farming areas.
      • Participation in more events, as season characters can engage in both season and non-season events.
    • We will also include some additional season-channel-only incentives, but these will only be announced closer to the release date.
  • Will Season Channels have their own events?
    • Yes Season Channels will have their own events, but season characters can also participate in non-season channel events.
    • This means that 2 different tribes might be the Lords of Ladianes on the same server, and 2 different nations might win the Nation War on the same server. One winner would be for non-season channels, and one winner would be for season channels.
  • How long will each season last?
    • Each season will last 2 months and have a 1 month cooldown before the next season starts. The durations and cooldowns of each season may change as needed.
  • When will seasons start?
    • Season 1 will start on January 19, 2024. An exact expected launch time will be posted closer to the date.
