May 17 Patch Notes

General Changes

  • Based on the results of the "PvP Teleport Cooldown" poll, we have introduced a 3 second combat cooldown before players can teleport out of PvP areas. Meaning you must be out of combat for 3 seconds before you can teleport out using an NPC (such as a Crystal).
  • Fixed various small issues that would sometimes show incorrect dates/times with items that expire, game time (top of screen), and poll end times.
  • Players can now use transformation cards while wearing a cosmetic costume. The transformation costume will be displayed until it expires, after which the original cosmetic costume will become visible again.
  • Transformation card buffs can now be canceled by right-clicking their buff icon.
  • Players can now drop Locking Spells and sell them to NPCs.
  • Fixed an issue where other players' finishers would not display their animations on your screen.
  • Fixed an issue where the chat wouldn't open properly if you left clicked the input area.

Nation Content Changes

Based on the results of the "Nation System Changes" poll, we have made the following changes to nation content:

  • Registering for Nation War now registers your entire account, rather than just a single character.
  • Players can now unregister from the Nation War, but this must be done from the account that originally registered.
  • Only one account can be registered for Nation War at a time. Attempting to register a second account will notify the player that they must first unregister the other account (including the name of the character used to register).
  • During the Nation War, players now earn 1 badge for every 5,000,000 monster damage dealt, up to a maximum of 10 badges (previously 1 badge per 10,000,000 damage, max 5 badges).
  • During the Nation War, players now earn 1 badge for every 5 unique PvP kills, up to a maximum of 10 badges (previously max 5 badges).
  • To ensure fairness between nations, the following changes have been made to the nation assignment process:
    • Player levels are now taken into account when assigning nations. This helps maintain a more balanced level distribution between nations, reducing the chance of one nation having a significant level advantage.
    • Beyond level considerations, nation assignment is now truly random. Players will no longer be prioritized into the same nation as other members of their tribe.
  • To protect anonymity during nation-based content, the following changes apply only while inside active nation content (Nation War & Hau):
    • Nation icons will now only be visible while inside nation content. Players may now set up booths and use chat freely outside of this content.
    • Players will no longer see the names of members from the opposing nation. Instead, the nation name will be displayed above their heads.
    • Players will be assigned a temporary costume/weapon based on their nation/class while in nation content.
    • Nation-based PvPChannel messages now hide player and tribe names, displaying only the nations involved. The updated message format is: "A member of Ladianes Nation has killed a member of Veros Nation.".
